We always have ways to get involved with the Annex!  You have come to the right place!  One of the ways the Annex opens up opportunities to get more involved is through our SWAT ministry (Students With Available Time).  These are student led ministry areas that offer a wide variety of opportunities to get connected!  If you are interested in getting involved or just want to know what ministry areas have planned for upcoming weeks, email the contact for each ministry area!  If you would like to serve on SWAT contact Jamie Lied at           jlied@fpcboulder.org.

The Breadgivers Ministry comes from I Kings 17 when God sends ravens to feed the prophet Elijah bread in his time of need. Our Breadgivers provide encouragement and support for students in times of need and loss or success and joy. Through gift baskets, cards, and other encouragement the Breadgivers seek to meet students in their time of need whether the loss of a loved one; hospital visits; tough times with family, roommates, or friends; or encouragement for a great accomplishment.

The Roadies are one of the most needed and least recognized ministries at theAnnex. The Production Crew is a group of students that make theAnnex look amazing every week. They transform the sanctuary with staging, banners, sound equipment, candles, and lighting. They create a welcoming entrance with sign up tables and pictures. We could not do what we do without them!

The Outback Ministry's goal is to provide a means for college students to connect with one another, themselves, nature, and God while getting plugged into theAnnex. Activities such as hiking, biking, climbing, camping, and skiing are the key elements of Outback, but most importantly this is a chance to relax in the great outdoors while building lifelong friendships.

Wouldn't it be great to get involved in a cause that is outside Boulder? A vision that reaches to the far ends of the earth? Global Impact strives to inform and create awareness for the issues outside our immediate community; giving us a global perspective.

This ministry has a heart to serve the greater Boulder community and to show the love of God through service. St. Francis of Assisi said, "Preach the gospel at all times, and if necessary, use words." Local Impact finds ways for students to give back to the community that they are learning and living in through lots of different local organizations.

How do you help?

There will be service projects such as The Dolores Project, a City Dive Retreat, a blood drive, a World Vision service day and a Habitat for Humanity project.

With Denver only 30 miles from Boulder, it is the perfect location to get connected and start serving!  This ministry has various opportunities from mentoring and tutoring, to leading day hikes for younger kids who may have never even been to the mountains!  Denver Impact is also looking for any students who know Spanish and would like to put their skills to use!
